Alabama State UCA Cheer Competition sticky icon

The Alabama State UCA Cheer Competition will be held at Vestavia Hills High School
on Sunday, November 13th and starts at 2 p.m. The doors open at 12:30 and the gym fills up quickly. Admission is $5.00 at the door. A concession stand is open before and during the actual competition. NO NOISE MAKERS of any kind are allowed in the facility.

Oak Mountain High School Meet the Team Social sticky icon

Coach Harris has invited everyone to the Oak Mountain Meet the Team Social which will be held Sunday, October 16th from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. The event will be held on the grounds of Mutual Savings Credit Union (located on Valleydale just before the Hoover Police station). The event will feature free team posters to all kids and free homecoming t-shirts to all youth football players. There will also be free pizza and free Kona Ice! Please make plans to attend!

A Restricted Player system has been implemented by the JSYFL for all weight divisions this year

A Restricted Player system has been implemented by the JSYFL this year in all weight divisions. The system has existed in the 130lb division for the past several seasons.

November 1st - Playoffs Begin

November 19th - Championship Saturday at Thompson Field

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR 130 LB. WEIGHT CLASS

Children in this weight class may now weigh up to 150 lbs. at certification and be eligible to play football.

If a player weighs more than 130 lbs. they will be restricted to down lineman positions, from tackle to tackle, on both offense and defense.

Players who are restricted at certification will be required to weigh-in again prior to the beginning of the playoffs.

At the playoff weigh-in, restricted players may weigh up to 160 lbs. and be re-certified for postseason play. The playoff weigh-in only applies to restricted players.

This change applies to the 130 lb. weight class only.

As a reminder, if a player doesn't make weight in the 80, 90, 105, or 120 lb. divisions, they have the option to qualify to play up.
